Rust Riot
Published in The Vanilla Issue
Photographed by Sardar Farrokhi, Rust Riot is a cinematic fashion editorial exploring survival, identity, and transformation within a post-industrial landscape. Set against abandoned factories, construction sites, and fractured urban environments, the series blurs the boundary between fashion photography and speculative visual storytelling.
Through atmospheric lighting, expressive portraiture, and documentary-inspired compositions, the images portray a world where resilience emerges from collapse. Every frame balances raw environments with sculptural styling, allowing fashion to become a narrative device rather than decoration.
Built around adaptation, strength, and human connection, Rust Riot transforms industrial ruins into cinematic stages—creating a visual language of endurance, rebellion, and renewal.
